I was just coming back to my van when i spotted this beautiful butterfly flying around. October 26, 2012 and it was cold out and windy! Nature always is a surprise. I was lucky enough for it to land and stay still long enough to get this great image of it before it flew up and was carried away by the cold winds. I will miss butterflies this winter. Maybe next year i will follow them south. This was photographed near Waupaca, Wisconsin.
